Yahtzee

Posted by Ryan Woods

As stated in the previous post, I am somewhat weird. Did I fail to mention that my wife is as well? The reason I say this is to preface the fact that we enjoy playing Yahtzee.
We play it often. We play it hard. And I always win.
The one central rule to our game is that we never throw away our score cards...never. We save them because they serve as a reminder of 1) my domination. 2) how funny we think we are.* Here are some of the names that we have chosen for our games:
The Tax
Tussin O'Malley
Tiny Toots
The Abolisher
Cherry
Champagne
Peppercorn McTavish
Father Christmas
Cherry Blossom
Foster
Winner Bojarski
Rytini Pooped In Jess' Cornflakes
Filipino Lady
Scooter McSquirts
Tits McMasterson

* Notice that I said how funny we think we are. Not how funny we are. I think it is important to differentiate between the two.

... i thought they were pretty funny... but maybe I'm just as wierd as you... blogging about sandwiches and such...

Your frequent use of Irish last names makes me sad for you, that you don't actually belong to an Irish last name. Let's make you one now. Please choose from the following:

1. McWoods (Obviously)
2. O'Woodsey
3. MacWoodinish
4. O'Woodsher McWoodspen

Clearly, all I know about Irish names is "Mc" and "O'". Give me a break, Zimmerman is German.

Hi. I think I might know who you are. You probably don't know me. Although I have a feeling we had a class together at Cascade. But I digress.
I commend your weirdness. My husband and I sit around and play Farkel a lot. But we don't make up more weird names. I believe Farkel is a sufficiently dorky name.

Oh, and dorks are cool. (our kind of dorks, not whale kind of dorks)

hmmm . . my old roommate's granparents are like that too. they play yahtzee religiously and keep a running scorecard. they are ruthless about it!!
