Partygoin'

We're animals, we're going to two concerts today! Two! I know, it's like we're kidless again...which would be a very sad thing. Concerts vs. kids isn't much of a question. Nevertheless today Jess and I went down to Pioneer Square in Portland and listened to Brett Dennen.
It's was wicked sweet. He's a total hippie. Shoeless, with a bandanna wrapped around his head like Rambo he sang us sweet lullabies that sounded like a combo between Macy Gray and Louis Armstrong. I'm also pretty sure he was smokin' a little peyote before the concert too, which only added to his odd dancing skills and comfortable stage presence. Check out his myspace and listen to his music. It's nice. He looks funny. By the sound of his voice you'd never guess he's a practically thirty year old, nearly girly looking, freckle faced hippie...but indeed he is.
Tonight we'll take Jones to listen to the Beatniks down at Esther Short. Good times.

cool. I wish i went to concerts with my wife and kid.

Well we went to a concert on Thursday as well. It was a big group of fiddlers and other instruments. One of them played a string on a pole going into a bucket. Another lady had a little wooden doggy with bouncy wooden legs. She held another piece of wood as it's platform and it was tapping to the beat. Very amusing. Love the dancing people. Awkward and funny all at the same time. Sometimes I was proud that my father was never brave enough to make a fool of himself on the dance floor. Good times.

i totally missed brett . . . cause i was in bend.

but i am going to miss everything soon, so whatever.
