I've got so much to say. But I refuse to write five blogs in one day. I want to blog about listening to Donald Miller speak last night at Powells. I also thought about writing a blog concerning the disappearance of our good friend Ronizee. She has not blogged in exactly a month and her comments have been few and far between. My fear is that she feels as though she has been replaced. Roni, you haven't been replaced, and we miss your smart ass comments. I also thought about blogging concerning an odd dilemma that I was presented with while listening to Don. I grew up going to camps with her, I took Greek with her sister, I view and comment on her blog often. And yet when she arrived at Powells I was faced with the dilemma...are we friends? Or, the even greater dilemma, the dilemma that I have been struggling with ever since leaving Portugal, how does one greet women? In Portugal it was easy, you gave them all a kiss on the cheek. Here...well...shaking hands is too unfriendly and manish, giving a hug is often too friendly, and in America there is really nothing inbetween. Nevertheless it was all avoided when she ran out before the show was over.
I also thought about writing down some great ol' stories from my times in Greece or Luxembourg, from Lubbock or Harding. Stories from when I climbed Mount Olympus or was attacked by a mountain goat. Stories about a man named Blessing and burping in public.
So many thoughts, so much to write...but here is the real purpose of this post: I received my first bit of comment spam! Wahoo! I've been waiting for this day my whole life. It is as if everything has been building up to this point. It is my density. I can't wait until I get so much that I'll get fed up with it and then add that little verification tool that most people have. You know, the thing that comes up with words like mowhil or twizzle. Cool.
