Past Cereals Honored

Remember the days of Saturday morning cartoons? I don't so much miss the cartoons themselves. I mean, lets face it, the Road Runner will always out run the coyote. Bugs Bunny will always make everyone else look stupid. Shredder will always hide behind his freaky mask and April O'Neal will always wear a cool yellow jump suit (we won't talk about the new look Turtles that's on TV today). And I won't even go into the shows that are gone forever and will only be remembered by their expensive shirts sold at Hot Topic...Thundercats, Heathcliff, Popeye, captain Planet, He-Man, etc.
Here's the beef. I miss the cereal soap opera. Remember how those darn kids always wanted that little leprechaun Lucky Charms! That poor little Irish! Or how about that sad bunny. All he wanted was a freaking bowl of Trix! And why do kids love Apple Jacks? It just doesn't make sense, they don't even taste like apples.
Cookie Crisp, Cocoa Puffs, Cap'n Crunch, and all those short lived special new cereals (French Toast Crunch, Dunkin' Doughnuts, etc)
This all started when I, on vacation, was able to eat some Lucky Charms. All of a sudden I was faced with the startling fact that I had no idea what all these new marshmallows were all about. A key? Whats a key doing in my Charms? I miss the mini series that were my childhood cereal commercials. I miss the drama, the plot, the suspense, and lets be honest I miss the cereal.
