"F" is for...

This year lets all celebrate flag day! It makes perfect sense. On other holidays (xmas and turkey day excluded) my restaurant is exceedingly busy. On Mothers Day those poor moms are waiting a good 2 hours just to sit at a table! Oddly enough, on Fathers day the Steakhouse (food of choice by most fathers...not by many mothers) is much less busy. Apparently moms cook and dads don't...that wasn't very insightful was it?
Nevertheless, celebrating Flag Day would give us a great night out on the town without the crowds, it would give us a day to request off work that few other people care about, and it would give us cheap rates at hotels and motels and resorts! Nevermore would we need to worry about blackout dates and over packed airplanes. June 14th will become a new day. No longer will it be the forgotten holiday, no, for us it will become the...unforgotten holiday!* We can drape ourselves in flags, drink wine from rich crystal goblets, frolic, snap our fingers and walk to the beat of different drums, cymbals, and other rhythmic devices! History will be ours. Flag Day will be ours! I don't know how to correctly use a semicolon! Joy will be ours!

Your Flag Day King,
Ryan

* When it ceases to be the forgotten holiday we will then switch to Arbor Day. Code word "Koala".

as an english major, I wood like to give yue some semi-colon advice: an infomercial told me not to use laxitives because it only liquifies the contents of your colon (they said bowel, but is there really a difference?). Instead you're supposed to use their product. You should, ideally, use your colon, all the way, at least once a day. Never 'kind of' use it. No more of this silly Semi-colon stuff. Go hard, or go home, that's what I always say. This originally started out with the intention of really letting you know how to use a semi-colon... it's real easy once you get the hang of it; you just have to practice.

Semicolons are beyond me; I am hungry; and I want to go; to Burger King to buy a whopper. I will order it with lettus; tomatoes; cheese; and pickles. I think that I think semicolons are simply commas; not comas 'cause those are very different.

I agree with Anonymous;

Wonderful and informative web site. I used information from that site its great. »
